Empty the landing pocket
Pick one pocket as the place where loose screws, bits, and packaging land during work. Empty it after the job. Return usable spares to labeled containers and dispose of waste. This prevents yesterday's leftovers from looking like today's missing hardware.
Give each common tool a home
Arrange your most-used tools in the same pockets every time. Use a simple photo of the packed bag as a reference. If a tool has no obvious place, it may not belong in the everyday kit.
Check before closing
Count the bits and small accessories that arrived with you. Wipe dirt from holders and inspect any reusable ties or pouches. A magnetic wristband can be attached to the bag according to its manufacturer, but it should be emptied rather than stored with mystery fasteners stuck to it.
