Build a camp bin you can unpack in the dark

A tidy camp bin is organized by the order in which you need things. The first item you reach for should not be buried under the cooking gear.

Make three zones

Reserve one side for arrival tasks such as a light, dry bag, and cleanup supplies. Put food preparation items together. Keep repair and spare items in a separate pouch so they do not scatter when dinner starts.

Label what disappears

Small cables, utensil sleeves, and spare cords are the first things to vanish into a deep bin. A paper label or a clear pouch may be enough. Reusable ties can group lightweight loose items, but they should not be used to secure fuel, hot cookware, or moving cargo.

Test the sequence at home

Pack the bin, close it, and try a pretend arrival. Can you reach the light and one meal's supplies without emptying everything? Move those items to the top. Take a photo of the arrangement you like so it is easy to repeat.
